MOOK is the true story of Jack Mook, a member of the 82nd Airborne with 35 active combat jumps.  He is a North Side, Pittsburgh “Irish Cop” who has worked for two decades on the hard, unforgiving streets. Most of those years as an undercover narcotics agent witnessing the worst of humanity. 

 

In an unlikely encounter, he crosses paths with two young boys living in the back of a covered pickup truck and growing up on the streets.  They bond at  “Steel City Boxing” where Jack volunteers as a boxing coach, and where the boys trained to escape their lives with heroine addicted parents. 

 

The relationship starts with a simple goal…to get 12-year-old Josh his first win in the ring despite his 0 – 7 record.  The series of events that unfold, however, lead to “Coach”…the lifelong bachelor…to become the improbable father of two boys who save his life as much as he does theirs.
